Using a drag race app on my phone, the best 0-60 time was 9.8 seconds (no power braking).

The gas mileage was not great at 25.1 MPG over 1,600 miles of 60% highway miles. They just don't seem to be a very good match for each other. Changing to Sport mode helped hold RPMs, but it didn't change how slowly the transmission reacts to downshifts. It constantly left me waiting for an eternity for a lower gear. The 6-speed transmission does the engine no favors either. This base engine is really quite gutless. It remembers when a driving nanny has been turned off. The interior is fairly quiet-until the engine spins up. It has a firm and sporty suspension, but it's a double-edged sword on longer drives. I quite liked the instrument panel-very handsome. The interior is attractive and feels expensive when compared to the others. A much taller driver would have no problem here.

Spacious up front (I'm 6-2) and the seats were comfortable. After spending 2 weeks with it, well, I am just not that impressed. Seemed to be the touring trim as it had the Bose stereo and dual climate control. They gave me a 2021 CX-5 with 2,400 miles on it.

I normally end up with a Sorento, CR-V, RAV 4, Escape, Sante Fe, etc.

I usually try and get a small to mid-sized SUV and thought I scored a homerun this time. Just returned from a 2-week business trip to Florida.
